The Government of India deemed if fit to separate woolen knitwear from  the  arrangement  and  created  a  separate council known as Wool Industry Export Promotion Council, ‘WOOLTEXPRO’.

Currently, the woolen sectors exports various kinds of woolen textile products from  wool tops, yarn to finished products like apparel fabric,  readymade apparels and made-ups including carpets worth over US $ 2 billion per annum.
